Ramon Montijo Jr. is a Bay Area native who has been practicing family law since 2008
working at various boutique family law firms throughout the Bay Area.
Ramon has experience in every aspect of family law litigation from initial orders through settlement or trial. He has assisted numerous clients with dissolution, paternity actions, high conflict custody and visitation matters, complex property division, child support, and
spousal support. Ramon has successfully represented clients at contested hearings, settlement conferences, emergency screenings, and custody evaluations. He has second-chaired multiple-day trials on such issues as custody, property division, business valuation, and breach of fiduciary duty.
Ramon attended high school at Mountain View Academy and received his undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating, he performed graduate work in Near Eastern Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology. He
then attended San Francisco Law School and was awarded a Juris Doctorate in 2006.
While in law school Ramon was one of three students selected to participate in the 2005 Roger J. Traynor California State Moot Court Competition, which consisted of more than a dozen California law schools, including Berkeley, UCLA, and Hastings. His team won first place for Best Brief.
Upon graduation from law school, Ramon interned at the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s
Office and, upon his admission to the State Bar of California, he worked as a defense attorney for the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office.
